Completed Developments : Barr Thomson Business Park

Barr Thomson Business Park, Kilmarnock

This development comprised of the reconfiguration of 75,000sqft of existing engineering space, pre-let of postal sorting office and the provision of 10,000sqft of new speculative industrial space. The development incorporated:

  • Rationalised industrial premises of Glenfield & Kennedy Engineering Ltd.
  • Acquisition of surplus land for Retail Park, multiplex cinema and industrial space.
  • Let 10,000sqft new build industrial to City Electrical Factors Ltd, Caledonian Computers Ltd and Base Com Ltd.
  • Let 15,000sqft new build Postal Delivery Office to Post Office Counters Ltd.

Completed: 2000Due to the rationalisation of the engineering space at Queens Drive, Dawn Developments were able to take ownership of the remaining land holdings. This resulted in a large development t plot being created between phase 1 & 2 onto which Dawn were able to secure Homebase as a tenant for 30,000sqft of retail space and a 10,000sqft Garden Centre. The development was funded and constructed by Dawn and then let on an institutional lease with the completed investment sold on the open market.
